The president of the Community is committed to a solo PP government of Mañueco, without advisers from Vox
Fernando López Miras came out this Monday in defense of the leadership of Pablo Casado in the PP, after Sunday’s elections in Castilla y León gave the party a victory without a sufficient majority that leaves the governability of this community in the hands of Vox. For López Miras, Casado “comes out stronger” from this appointment with the polls, since the PP is once again the first force in Castilla y León, as previously happened in Madrid. «Three years ago the PP did not win in Castilla y León, nor in Madrid and Andalusia, and by barely 400 votes in the Region of Murcia either. Now, three years later, the PP has won in Madrid and Castilla y León, and all the polls say that it will win decisively in the rest”, he pointed out. The work carried out by Casado, he insisted, is “objective and incontestable.”
After the electoral night, the debate on the possible entry of Vox into the government of Castilla y León opens. Fernando López Miras aligned himself this Monday with the position of the national leadership, which speaks of a government alone without advisers from Vox. “The most feasible thing is that there is a government only of the PP, because it has won the elections with force,” defended Miras. “There is no other possible president for Fernández Mañueco”, since the PSOE does not join other forces, he warned. For this reason, “the most likely, the most feasible, what the PP is going to set as its objective, is a government solely of the PP,” he insisted. Regarding the presence of a counselor in the Region of Murcia from Vox, although expelled from this formation (Mabel Campuzano), López Miras stated that in Murcia “there is now a government that is from the PP.” The president of the Murcian PP also underlined “the collapse and virtual disappearance of Ciudadanos, which began in the Region of Murcia with the fudge” of the motion of censure.
