Liverpool vs. Real Madrid: problems with fans delayed the final

The beginning of the match ran into trouble with English fans. There is a new schedule.

The Champions League final was delayed after problems with Liverpool fans’ access to the Stade de France in Saint-Denis.

Uefa announced that the game will start at 8:36 pm local time (2:36 pm in Colombia), 36 minutes after the scheduled time.

Hundreds of fans of the English club had trouble accessing the stage and even, according to press reports, false tickets were detected. Some Liverpool fans tried to jump the security fences and several of them managed to get past the police cordon and sneak into the stands to watch the game.

Journalist Mark Ogden denounced on his Twitter account that the Police used pepper spray to disperse a group of Liverpool fans, some of whom had tickets for the match.

Access to the corresponding tribune for Real Madrid fans, until now, had no problems.

The information was given just over a quarter of an hour before the start of the meeting, initially scheduled at 9:00 p.m. (2:00 p.m. in Colombia) and was communicated to the spectators. A good part of the stands of the stadium, which welcomes almost 80,000 spectators, were empty at that time.

Initially, the game was delayed 15 minutes, but due to the inconvenience with the fans, the start is still delayed at this time.
