Manchester United have suffered today one of the worst wins in their history in their own stadium, and suffered it against one of their historical rivals, Liverpool. With this defeat the red devils they drift away from the top ranks of the league, while Liverpool are hooked on the competition. Klopp’s men have managed to score 5 goals in a game in which they could have done even more damage, and United manager Solskjaer is highly marked.
The game started badly for the Red Devils, as Keita scored again at 5 minutes after a week in which he already scored an early goal in the Champions League. This goal did a lot of damage, because far from overcoming it, the Old Trafford team broke. This caused Diego Jota to score 7 minutes later and put the game very expensive for Klopp’s men. Despair began to take hold among the Mancunian players and was visible in an attack by Cristiano against Arnold, which surprisingly was not sanctioned with a red card. The first half did not end there, as Salah scored two goals before the referee’s whistle.
In the second half, Liverpool lowered the piston somewhat, thinking about next week’s matches, but still, Salah was able to complete his hat-trick with another goal and rounding off a humiliating win for the Red Devils.
Pogba came into the second half to hold out, but was sent off in the 60th minute after a strong tackle. With the expulsion, Liverpool was known as the winner and United assumed their defeat, so that both let time pass with isolated plays at a much lower rate.
Solskjaer is highly questioned by the Manchester fans, who have always respected him for being a legend, but have shown not to be able to get the most out of a team as good as he has.
