The minister will preside over the Superior Labor Court for 2 years; Aloysio Corrêa da Veiga assumes the vice-presidency
the minister Lelio Bentes Corrêa takes office as president of the TST (Superior Labor Court) this Thursday (13.Oct.2022), a position he will hold for 2 years. the minister Aloysio Correa da Veiga will occupy the vice-presidency of the Court for the period. The inauguration ceremony of the new presidency will be held at the Court’s headquarters.

Lelio Bentes Corrêa is 57 years old and is from Niterói (RJ). He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from UnB (University of Brasília), and a master’s degree in international human rights law from the University of Essex (England). In 1989, he entered the MPT (Ministry of Labor) through a public tender. He has been labor attorney, regional labor attorney and deputy labor attorney general.
Corrêa has been minister of the TST since July 2003, occupying a vacancy destined for members of the MPT.
Aloysio Correa da Veiga is 72 years old and is from Petrópolis (RJ). He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Petrópolis, where he taught from 1984 to 2016. 1st Region.
Veiga was sworn in as TST minister in December 2004.
