Like A Dragon: Yakuza, the series on Prime Video

On October 25, Amazon Prime Video will world premiere “Like a Dragon: Yakuza,” a live-action Japanese drama series based on the popular video game series developed by Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. The series will be available in more than 240 countries and territories, bringing the fascinating world of Yakuza to a global audience. Directed by director Masaharu Take, the series will star Ryoma Takeuchi in the role of Kazuma Kiryu, an iconic character of the franchise.

“Like a Dragon: Yakuza” will follow the life and adventures of Kiryu, a fearsome but just Yakuza warrior, across two time periods, 1995 and 2005. The original series will mix suspense, crime and action, following the adventures of his friends of childhood and the consequences of his decisions. Ryoma Takeuchi, who plays Kazuma Kiryu, expressed his enthusiasm for the role: “I am truly honored to have the opportunity to play Kazuma Kiryu, a character beloved by gamers.
