The Monterey stripes received this Wednesday a recognition for the championship obtained in the Grita México Clausura 2022 tournament of the Women’s MX League by the Congress of the State of Nuevo León. The event, held at the headquarters of the State Congress in downtown Monterrey, was attended by José González Ornelas, president of the Club’s Board of Directors; Duilio Davino, sports president, and Pedro Esquivel, executive vice president, as well as the technical director Eva Espejo, accompanied by her coaching staff and the Rayadas players.
Ivonne Álvarez, president of the Local Congress, highlighted the work of the scratched and recalled that her achievements motivate thousands of girls to follow their dreams. “We recognize those who are role models, show courage, strength, bravery and spirit; who know how to give everything on the court and are an example for thousands of young people. They are women who have opened the way in a field that did not exist before. They have broken paradigms, they have made history. There are many reasons to celebrate this Rayadas championship”, expressed Álvarez from the Congress tribune.
He also wished continued success for the Rayadas de Monterrey of the Liga MX Femenil, in Life and on the Field. “May more championships and more achievements come, as well as better opportunities for each and every one of you. May the goals inspire so that more women leave their mark in sports, soccer and in life,” said the also president of the Administration Committee of the Legislature.
