Lidl has developed a new concept for making money. The discounter giant is getting into garbage disposal.
Bad Wimpfen – Lidl is now investing in recycling to save license fees for garbage. In the future, the group will organize and recycle its packaging waste itself. Lidl subsidiary PreZero has been operating its own dual system since last year. Lidl can now earn money by recycling the plastic waste from other retailers. The principle is a lucrative business model: in 2020 PreZero made a turnover of 700 million euros – and that with the packaging waste from the Lidl and Kaufland branches alone.
As BW24 * reports, Lidl wants to earn millions with a completely unexpected business model.
