LG presents the gram 2021, with three laptops and two convertibles

The presentation of the LG gram 2021 has been one of the first announcements of the CES. The Las Vegas fair is already underway although it is officially held next week and despite the fact that all the presentations will be held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event continues to be the most important of the year in technology.

LG, like Samsung, does not have a catalog of personal computers as extensive as those of Lenovo or HP, but it has interesting solutions such as these ‘Gram’, a series of ultraportables known for their thin and extremely light designs that now arrive updated in design, display and internal hardware.

Five have been the teams presented by LG. Three laptops (LG gram 17 model 17Z90P; LG gram 16 (model 16Z90P) and LG gram 14 model 14Z90P) and two convertibles (LG gram 2-in-1 16 (model 16T90P) and LG gram 2-in-1 14 (model 14T90P). main features we can stand out:

• Intel Evo certified, with 11th generation Intel Core (Tiger Lake) processors and Iris Xe graphics.
• IPS displays with resolutions up to 2K and support for 99% of the color gamut DCI-P3.
• 16:10 aspect ratio displays to offer more viewing space.
• Advanced connectivity: Wi-Fi 6, Thunderbolt 4, USB 4.0.

LG gram 16 It is the new model and surely the one that reflects the direction of this series, reducing the bezels around the screen which has allowed a 16-inch diagonal screen to be placed on an overall size computer smaller than a typical 15-inch laptop, such as the current LG Gram 15 it replaces. Its dimensions are 356 mm x 244 mm x 16.8 mm and the weight of its aluminum chassis remains at an incredible 1.17 kilograms.

The panel is an IPS with a native resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels that grows compared to 1080p of the 15-inch model and with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Like the rest of the series, its hardware base has been updated to the 11th generation Intel Tiger Lake processors.

This model can equip versions like the Core i5-1135G7 or the Core i7-1165G7, accompanied by 8 or 16 Gbytes of RAM and NVMe solid state drives with up to 1 Tbyte of storage capacity. It mounts a full keyboard with generous key dimensions and the trackpad has been increased in size by 55%. It also adds two Thunderbolt 4 ports and the latest connectivity items like Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

The series is completed with two other models, LG Gram 14 and LG Gram 17, also updated to the Tiger Lake processors and maintaining the ultra-slim designs that have made this series popular. In fact, the LG Gram 17 holds the title of the lightest laptop on the planet with that screen size.

Regarding the convertibles, are two models with 16 and 14-inch IPS touch screens, 360-degree hinge system, Wacon AES styluses and the rest of the specifications of the notebooks, Intel processors and Xe graphics and advanced connectivity.
