The collection of cars Lewis enjoys Hamilton boasts supercars of all kinds: from two Ferrari LaFerrari, one in coupé and one convertible version, two original Shelby Cobras, a McLaren F1, just to name a few. From today, however, the fleet owned by the seven-time Formula One world champion is emptied of one Pagani Zonda 760 LH: the British driver has in fact decided to sell the mid-engined GT that had been produced especially for him, and that Hamilton himself had driven in Monaco during the summer break of the championship. Already then the rumors of a possible sale of the car had begun to rise, now new confirmations are arriving.
“Sir Lewis took delivery of the 760LH in 2014. The car ends its ownership with the British driver with less than 1,000 km on the odometer covered in these 7 years “, we read on the Instagram profile of “The Zonda Registry”, confirming the actual sale by Lewis Hamilton of his Zonda. On the other hand, Lewis has never hidden his disappointment about this car: in 2018 he defined it terrible to drive, so much so that he required the replacement of the tiptronic gearbox offered as standard by Pagani (which he himself defined as worse than that of the Smart Roadster. he owned) with a traditional manual gearbox. To confirm the little ease that Hamilton has had with this Zonda is the accident that the driver had at the wheel of the car, which fortunately was only slightly damaged.
At the moment not known who was the new buyer of this Pagani Zonda 760 LH, nor how much this GT specimen was actually sold to. The only certainty is that now the seven-time Formula One world champion is eagerly waiting to get his hands on his next sport: it is the new Mercedes AMG One, a car that he himself helped develop and that has a monstrous hybrid powertrain derived from the Formula 1 car that dominated the recent championships.
