To say it simply, without detour, the policy which you defend shames me. The so-called “global security” bill that your majority is about to vote on is an insult to the history of our country, to the Republic, an insult to the mind.
There is no legal justification for such a regression in matters of public freedom. Nothing, if not low electoral ambitions. Nothing if it is not the will of Monsieur Darmanin, a tiny Marquis of the Interior who, like the frog, would like to see himself as big and strong as the Republican ox. Everything already exists in the texts that is sufficient to protect the integrity of the police and gendarmes. We would like to believe that such laws only flourish in Beijing, Brasilia, Moscow or Ankara, but no, it is in Paris that it is happening today.
This is your new world, Deputy Guerini. The masks are falling. Sinister comedy of power, sad horizon. You will never have peace with such a policy. You are forbidding the future with such laws.
I am only a citizen filmmaker and I will continue to film the world as it goes.
