After Switch and Steam Deck, Lenovo is preparing to retort?
Mobile games have been popular for many years, and while most people play these titles on their smartphones, dedicated mobile game consoles are popular. Something interesting has leaked from Lenovo, which is best known for manufacturing laptops and desktops. The leaked product is called Lenovo Legion Play and is a portable game console based on Android discovered on the Lenovo website in a series of images.
The images were hidden on Lenovo’s German and Japanese websites, and apparently the console was supposed to be revealed at the showcase of the Lenovo Mobile World Congress 2021. However, the product was never revealed at the show and it is not known whether it was postponed or canceled altogether. Along with the four hidden images was a description of the console.
The description says that Legion Play is the first Android cloud gaming console and was designed for AAA games. In one of the images there is a link to Nvidia’s GeForce Now. Legion Play has a seven-inch high definition 16: 9 display that supports HDR 10. It also features integrated controllers, dual speakers, dual vibration and a large 7000mAh battery.
The images show a pair of analog joysticks, buttons on the sides, a USB-C port on the bottom, and a microphone port. There is no indication at this point as to whether Lenovo will launch Legion Play.
