As we reported to you yesterday, a leaker indicated that Sony and LEGO they are collaborating on some kind of project related to a famous PlayStation saga. The first leak did not clearly indicate what we were talking about, but now it would seem that it is Horizon, the series of Zero Dawn, Forbidden West and Call of the Mountain.
The information comes from Tom Henderson, a well-known and reliable leaker who has been sharing correct information for years. After a first tweet where he wrote “an announcement is on the horizon” (Horizon, in English), he continued with a second tweet that was even clearer and more direct.
Henderson wrote: “I’m not a big fan of the ‘I know something and you don’t know it’ bullshit from the typical obligatorily vague insider. But from what I’ve heard there’s a trailer for LEGO Horizon that’s ready for release. Furthermore, this suggests that the rumors of a Showcase coming soon are accurate.”
LEGO, Horizon and a PlayStation Showcase all in one fell swoop
Henderson’s words are interesting on several levels. First of all, he corroborates the recent rumors and makes us a little more reassured about their veracity, as Henderson is a reliable source. He then clearly specifies that it would be a LEGO and Horizon project, without however confirming exactly what type of product it is.
LEGO and Sony have already collaborated on a Horizon LEGO set (the Longneck one). It wouldn’t be strange for it to be a similar new set: between characters and living machines, Horizon’s imagery is full of possibilities for sets of colored bricks.
It’s clearly not impossible (though perhaps less likely) that this is a LEGO video game on Horizon. Regardless, Henderson also suggests that this announcement is scheduled for the much-rumored PlayStation Showcase which is due to take place in May.
We repeat again that it’s all about rumors and speculationsnot official information, so for now we can only wait for Sony to show signs of life and confirm or deny what has been said so far.
