Turku On Monday, the Court of Appeal convicted a 46-year-old Espoo man of a 19-year-old Turku robbery robbery attempt.

The verdict was based on a few circumstantial evidence of guilt. In his overall assessment, the Court concluded that there was no significant doubt as to the man’s guilt.
The Court of Appeal considered Nurm’s pimple gloves, which were found near the escape car, to be the main evidence. According to the DNA survey, the gloves had been in Nurminen’s hand. No one else’s DNA was found in them.
In addition, similar fibers had been found in the gloves inside the exhaust car.
According to the Court of Appeal, Nurminen belonged to the Bats criminal group. There is no evidence of the gang’s possible connection to the robbery attempt, but belonging to an organized crime group supports Nurminen’s prosecution, according to the Court of Appeal.
According to the Court of Appeal, the prosecution is also supported by the fact that Nurminen lived in Sweden at the time of his employment and belonged to the Bats group there. According to the Court of Appeal, the robbery and escape were carried out in the same way as the Swedish CIT robberies.
Nurminen’s verdict came from an attempted aggravated robbery and a felony firearms offense. The latter offense concerns the possession of a submachine gun and combination weapon in 2019.
