The three groups in the men’s football competition come within the Olympic Games scheduled for this summer in Paris, after the conclusion of the AFC U-23 Cup in Qatar.
Group A: France, New Zealand, the United States, the winner between Indonesia and Guinea
Group Two: Argentina, Morocco, Iraq, Ukraine
Group Three: Uzbekistan, Spain, Egypt, Dominican Republic
Group Four: Japan, Paraguay, Mali, Israel
The under-23 Asian Cup competitions resulted in Japan winning the title at the expense of Uzbekistan 1-0 in time, while the Iraqi national team finished third at the expense of Indonesia 2-1 after extra time.
Japan is participating for a record twelfth time in the Olympics, compared to the first time for Central Asian teams via Uzbekistan, while the Iraqi team is competing for the sixth time.
Indonesia, fourth in the Asian finals, will play in a final play-off with Guinea next Thursday in Paris.
The football competition will start on July 24, two days before the opening ceremony, and the final match will be held at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris on August 9.
It should be noted that Brazil won the last two editions of the competition.
