During the Star Guardians event, Riot will also activate the Riot Games Social Impact Fund, Riot’s nonprofit initiative to support charitable organizations around the world, offering players multiple ways to contribute to a good cause. On League of Legends, from July 14 to August 15, Riot will donate 20% of the proceeds from the Star Guardians Event Pass to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund, in partnership with ImpactAssets. For the occasion there will be a League of Legends themed cosplay contest. The appointment is for Saturday 16 July from 5 pm on the Rimini Comix stage, the section of the event dedicated to video games, cosplay and comics.
The jury will be made up of some of the best known cosplayer national and not only, who for the occasion will play the role of the new characters of Star Guardian, just before the start of the event in League of Legends, Wild Rift and Legends of Runeterra. Their task will be to evaluate originality, attention to detail and obviously similarity with the character played.
The contest is open to all and will include three categories, obviously all League of Legends themed: Best Pool Party, Best Original Costume and Best Star Guardian. An exclusive prize is up for grabs for the winners.
But that’s not all, immediately after the contest the jurors will invite the public and the winners to follow them for a parade through the fair and at the end it will be possible for anyone to take a photo with their favorite Star Guardian cosplayers.
