Quirinale, the worst of politics came out of the election of the head of state
What has presented itself before our eyes in recent days is the worst that Italian politics could express. The decision to re-elect Sergio Mattarella for a second mandate, despite having undoubtedly guaranteed stability to the country and credibility in international relations in the eyes of the world, helped in the last period also by the presence and international credibility it enjoys Mario Draghi as a technician before and now as premier, he showed how our politics is experiencing an unprecedented moment of crisis. And one year will certainly not be enough, in 2023 we will return to the polls, if not sooner as probably will happen, to heal the situation.
The elections for the Quirinale they sanctioned the definite failure of the personalism that our politics has been feeding on in the last 20 years. The cult of the person has supplanted projects and ideals. There are no concrete political proposals, only leaders. Both in the center-right and in the center-left too often the parties identify themselves with a single person who ends up not representing the community, but only themselves.
There has been a lot of talk about “King’s maker“ during these last elections. The Democratic party (and not only) he declares himself the winner of a game that he played only in defense, while the center-right representing the electoral majority in the country has completely split, making yet another gift to the left and speaks once again of “refounding” without however put on the table no concrete ideas and any medium-long term projects.
Despite my absolute respect for Mario Draghiwe are faced with a political class so weak that it has to rely on external technicians to manage a village which otherwise would drift. A weak policy, which prefers to abdicate rather than assume its responsibilities and which once again is unable to implement concrete decisions for the good of the country they have sworn to serve.
Our politicians hide behind first Dragonsnow behind Mattarella, because they are afraid to admit that their only mission is survival. We find ourselves governed by many men, in perennial conflict with each other, unable to accept (and therefore try to solve) their limits and above all the concrete problems of the country. Citizens want concrete answers and have grown tired of constant slogans, continuous disputes and a policy that persists undeterred to talk and never concrete facts.
The personalization of parties, pursued through characters with no value of real skills, has only led to the total absence of ideas and the rise of incompetent and unprepared people to take on such a delicate role. A vicious circle that has led us up to now to continuous defeats in Italy and abroad.
We are facing delicate years. The future of ours village, of our children, is in the hands of the current political class and this frightens me and seriously worries me as a father of a family and as an entrepreneur. It is essential that today we return to talk seriously about work, welfare, safety, culture! Italy it is at the starting line and serious projects are needed to accompany citizens and the new generations in the coming years. We are tired of short-term solutions that only create discontent and sterile discussions.
In these days “thrown” in constant quarrels and political spite, who has thought about the energy crisis? Who thought of those workers who are still experiencing a moment of crisis? Who thought of the rampant phenomenon of poverty that is affecting more and more Italians? Who has seriously thought about how to restart the real economy? Who really thought, even for a moment, about Italy and the Italians?
