The Iron Lynx has chosen the crews with which it will take part in the 24h of Le Mans, the next round of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The team from Romagna will make its debut Callum Ilott, who in collaboration with Scuderia Ferrari already runs in the GT World Challenge Europe.
The Englishman will be at the Circuit de la Sarthe on 21-22 August at the wheel of the Ferrari 488 # 80 to compete in the LMGTE Am Class with Rino Mastronardi and Matteo Cressoni.
The other two Maranello cars are also confirmed, namely the # 60 on which we will see Claudio Schiavoni, Paolo Ruberti and Raffaele Gianmaria at work, while Rahel Frey, Michelle Gatting and Sarah Bovy will climb on the # 85 marked Iron Dames.
“Callum is a great addition to our lineup of drivers – said the Team Principal, Andrea Piccini, who will not compete this time to devote himself to managing his team from the wall – We were very amazed by the incredible versatility with which he took part in the GT and we can’t wait to start preparing Le Mans together. “
“As for our other drivers, I would like to say that Sarah has made enormous progress in the GT Italian Endurance, Michelin Le Mans Cup and FIA World Endurance Championship races where she attended, so she deserves this opportunity to be on such an important stage. “.
“Of course I will miss not being behind the wheel this year, but giving Callum the opportunity to be at Le Mans is also important to underline the relationship we have with Ferrari and its Driver Academy, since we then joined forces with Prema to be at the start of various disciplines in the world of motors “.
Ilott was delighted for the opportunity: “For me it is a great honor to race the 24h of Le Mans with Iron Lynx and Ferrari, I couldn’t let it slip away! There is a great tradition of British drivers in that race, where they have always done well , so this time it’s up to me to help write another Le Mans story. “
