Moscow and Washington were called upon to reset to zero in the unhealthy situation of the functioning of the diplomatic mission. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, reports TASS…
The diplomat noted that Russia has offered the United States to hold a major dialogue on cybersecurity. The American side replied that the Russian authorities should first solve the problems with the hackers.
Lavrov also added that Moscow and Washington will discuss issues raised at a bilateral meeting in Geneva by Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Joe Biden. “In the coming days, I hope until mid-July, we are planning a meeting of delegations that should consider the tasks set by the presidents in the field of strategic stability, arms control, arms limitation,” he stressed.
On June 29, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced that Washington was ready to cooperate with Moscow on issues of mutual interest. “We can work together in strategic areas, such as arms control, cooperation in the field of cyber security, settlement of regional conflicts,” he said.
