They got back together! Laura Huarcayo, Alfredo Benavides and Carlos Vílchez staged an emotional reunion in Because today is Saturday with Andrés, in which they relived their passage through Welcome the afternoon.
During their conversation with Andrés Hurtado, they shared details about the cancellation of the reality show despite the fact that it was a program that enjoyed great success.
The former TV figure mentioned that the show took her time to be with her son.
“I worked a noon schedule, I left at two in the afternoon and spent time with my son,” he said.
“It was a project that varied greatly in schedules, we were doing quite well. They were five beautiful years, but they were also years where my daughter spent year after year, until she was 10, at home and perhaps waiting for me to pick her up from school. So, I said: ‘I want to step aside, I want to spend time with my family’”, He explained.
He also indicated that he told Susana Umbert that she was going to continue until a certain time. “I thought they would continue with Welcome in the afternoon, but it was not like that,” he revealed.
Given this, Carlos Vílchez joked and said: “I know why we are without work.”
How long did Welcome last?
Welcome the afternoon was on the air for five years. The reality show premiered in 2011 and lasted until 2015. During that period, the television program allowed to boost the careers of many models, such as Melissa Paredes and Andrea San Martín.
