The Florida beach where there are the most shark attacks
A meeting point for the Latin community in Volusia is New Smyrna Beach, where shark attacks are so frequent that it was named “the deadliest beach in the country”last year, for Travel Lenses. This serves as a wake-up call to bathers to be alert to the presence of these animals.
Unprovoked shark attacks are believed to occur because the animals mistake the arms and legs of swimmers for small animals. According to ISAF, of the attacks recorded in 2023, 42 percent of incidents involved surfers and practitioners of water sports with boards; 39 percent to swimmers; and 13 percent to divers or swimmers using snorkels.
