From Hungary to Greece, from Budapest to Mykonos, from the track to the beach. Nicholas Latifi And George Russell finished the first half of the 2021 Formula 1 season in the best possible way. The two Williams drivers, in the crazy Hungaroring race, managed to grab a double points placing, which is fundamental for the season of both of them and especially for that of the Grove team. The seventh place of Latifi and the eighth of Russell have in fact given the historic British team a special haul of 10 points. A result comparable to a victory, bearing in mind that Williams did not get world championship points from the 2019 German GP.
This double placement, which launched the white-blue team to eighth place among the constructors, was celebrated for a long time. The echoes of this result evidently also carried over into the summer break, during which the pilots are trying to regenerate spirit and body, mainly in seaside resorts. Greece is very popular and Mykonos in particular, which curiously has been the scene of one reunion just one of the two standard-bearers of the Williams house. This was witnessed by Latifi himself, who on Twitter posted a photo of him and Russell sitting under the umbrella sipping a drink by the sea with their respective companions. “We couldn’t break away from each other” the joking message with which the Canadian accompanied the shot. This is also a way to ‘team up’ while awaiting the resumption of the season at the end of the month.
