The flight left Santos Dumont, in Rio de Janeiro, bound for Congonhas, in São Paulo; in a note, the company mentions “corrective maintenance”
One Airbus model A319 from Latam Airlines had to make an emergency landing this Tuesday (Feb 6, 2024) at São Paulo International Airport, in Guarulhos, after losing one of the wheels.
Flight LA3923 left Santos Dumont Airport, in Rio de Janeiro, bound for Congonhas, in São Paulo. In a note sent to Power360 (read the full text at the end of this report), the company said that the diversion was carried out for a “corrective maintenance” of the plane.
In a video released by a YouTube channel specializing in airplanes, it is possible to see the moment in which the pilot communicates with the control center to check if the plane is on all 4 wheels.
Afterwards, the Airbus lands on one of the airport's free runways without one of the wheels on the left side.
