The vehicle is equipped with flashing lights and sirens and with a biomedical refrigerated container with front opening for the safe transport of vaccines and biomedical products. The particularly thick walls guarantee maximum insulation and, therefore, the maintenance of the temperature with un minimum number of starts of the cooling or heating unit. This allows to limit energy consumption while maintaining precision and reliability in temperature control. Thanks to its isothermal properties, the thermal drug container is indispensable for the temperature-controlled transport of plasma, vaccines, blood, organs and samples for clinical and environmental analyzes. The activity was born to face the Covid 19 emergency and support the charity in the vaccination campaign, initially in the city hubs, and then continue with a more specific focus, towards the populations residing in the most difficult to reach, if not inaccessible areas. . Unstoppable it has been, in fact, since the beginning of the pandemic, the work of the Red Cross on all fronts: in addition to the enormous activity in contrasting the Coronavirus and the current commitment that continues unabated in the vaccination campaign, the CRI has given and continues to respond to the economic consequences of the virus through direct and concrete support to families, providing support to vulnerable people, supporting those who are victims of the psychological consequences of this difficult situation and continuing to convey good practices such as blood donation and correct styles of life.
