A single vote saves the majority on the land registry reform. The yes arrives late in the evening and just by a whisker. With 23 votes against and 22 in favor, the Montecitorio Finance Committee rejects the last of the three suppressive amendments, 6.23, presented by Alternativa, which calls for the repeal of paragraph two of article 6 of the tax delegation, precisely on the land registry. The text, on which the government had given a negative opinion, is shared by Fi, Lega, Coraggio Italia, which make an axis and split the majority, finding themselves united on a proposal from the opposition. The center-right regroups, there is also Fdi, except for Maurizio Lupi’s Noi per l’Italia. Before 6.23 two amendments were rejected, always with the same pattern of 22 yes and 23 no: 6.22 and 6.13.
In his explanation of vote on the amendment on the cadastre presented by Alternativa, the foreman Alessandro Cattaneo, a member of the Finance Committee of the Chamber, would have said: it is not with the 22 to 23 that one can think of approving a tax law and it is not with the 22 to 23 that you can think of governing for a long time …
