Last week it was revealed that the new series of resident Evil Netflix has been canceled after just one season. Although many already saw this decision coming, especially considering the poor reception and the company’s trend on this issue, there were still several that surprised, such as Lance Reddick, actor who played Albert Wesker.
Through his official Twitter account, Reddick shared a message thanking everyone involved in the series for their participation., and regrets the decision that Netflix made in this regard. This was what he commented:
“I wanted to make this video because I wanted to do some acknowledgments and thanks. As you all know by now, our Resident Evil series on Netflix has been cancelled. Despite the haters and trolls, I want to send a special thanks to all the fans who saw it and understood what we were doing. We really love them because there were so many of them.”
A special thank you to all the fans who watched #ResidentEvilNetflix, the showrunners, my castmates, executives and more. We worked our asses off and had a great time. pic.twitter.com/A98aQVuA7t

Although first impressions painted a good picture for the series, once all the chapters were released, the community was not happy with the end result. In this way, Netflix, who is still going through a rather complicated situation, decided to end this production, instead of trusting the minds behind the project.
On related issues, an actor in the series did not know that Resident Evil was a video game. Similarly, you can play with Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village.
Editor’s Note:
It is a pity that this project was cancelled. While it is true that the production was flawed, it also presented us with a number of interesting ideas and good performances. Hopefully this case will not happen again in the future.
