Loris Spinelli and Max Weering continue their dominance in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe by authoritatively winning Race 1 at Misano.
The pair # 61 of Bonaldi Motorsport is confirmed as unbeatable on all fronts, even when the cards could reshuffle with a last gasp, as happened to their other colleagues on the ‘Marco Simoncelli’ on Saturday evening.
Spinelli got off to a flying start from the Pole Position, earning almost 1 “per lap on Amaury Bonduel, then handing over to his Dutch colleague the wheel of his Huracan ST EVO2 with over 20” against the Belgian of BDR Competition by Group PROM Racing Team.
When everything seemed decided, a collision between Manuel Bejarano (Imperiale Racing) and Paolo Biglieri (Bonaldi) saw the latter turn around and be hit by the innocent David Serban, therefore Safety Car on the track to group everyone and go ahead when there were almost 5 minutes left on the clock.
Weering was perfect at the restart, immediately detaching Bonduel and going to conquer the triumph with a margin of 1 “5, administered in the last two laps without suffering.
A great fight instead for the last step of the absolute podium which saw the car # 54 of Milan Teekens / Marzio Moretti (Target Racing) launch a decisive attack against the Lamborghinis of VSR.
The first to ‘fall’ was the # 6 of Stéphane Tribaudini / Jean-Luc D’Auria – fourth at the finish line, while the # 78 of Emanuel Colombini / Emanuele Zonzini had been third from the start (and first PRO-AM), but in the end she spun at the first variant slipping behind the lines.
Chovet / Scheier (Arkadia Racing) closes in the Top5, while with the sixth place comes the victory in PRO-AM for Basz / Formanek (Micanek Motorsport), ahead of the category rivals Ciglia / Williamson (Oregon Team) and Gvazava / Petelet ( Taget Racing).
Bejarano also ranks among the top 10, not punished for the aforementioned contact and therefore also fourth PRO of the lot, with Berto / Tarabini (Oregon Team) behind.
In Class AM Raffaele Giannoni was leading, but he ended up KO after a contact with a rival, so Andrzej Lewandowski (VSR) won in a second part of the race with very tight teeth, keeping Stéphane Guerin (Arkadia) and Gabriel Rindone at bay (Leipert).
In Class LC Cup, Gerard Van Der Horst imposes himself without too many problems with the car managed by his team, on José Hernandez (BDR / Group PROM) and Luciano Privitelio (Rexal FFF), who climbs on the podium taking advantage of the final collapse of François Grimm, long in third position.

Misano is also the scene of Daniel Pedrosa’s second seasonal outing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europa, after his first adventure in Imola at the beginning of April.
The Spanish two-wheeler champion always shares the Huracan # 29 of the Rexal FFF Racing Team together with Antonin Borga, who had the start in Race 1. The Frenchman was fighting for the Top 10 and the podium of the PRO-AM Class, when a collision with Pietro Perolini did not send him prematurely into the gravel.
Like a dish cooked and left in the oven waiting to be eaten, Pedrosa remained in the pits in the … hot, pun intended since the same KTM test driver in Romagna understood what it means to get into a cockpit with certain temperatures.
“Misano is a track I know, so for me it’s a bit easier than Imola – explains ‘Dani’ – The curbs are lower and the car moves less, so I can control it better”.
“The very difficult thing for me is the terrible heat that is suffered in the car, I didn’t know it was so hard and I didn’t really imagine it! However, compared to Imola I think I have made a step forward in terms of feeling with the car, in the trajectories and on the cornering speed. I still have to improve the braking a bit. “
Pedrosa for Race 2 will start from row 10 after qualifying 20th in the second timed session.
