Lamborghini's path towards sustainability continues, announcing new objectives in the Cor Tauri Management plan. The car manufacturer from Sant'Agata Bolognese is thus carrying forward the decarbonisation path supported thanks to the largest investment ever made by the Toro brand, with the commitment to the environment which is also expressed in the new electrified range which is taking shape and which it will be expanded during 2024.
New goals
Among the new objectives of the Cor Tauri Management, for example, there is the reduction of CO emissions2 across the entire value chain by 40% per car by 2030, covering the entire life cycle, from production to the use phase of individual models. Precisely regarding the product phase, Stephan Winkelkmann gave an overview of what will be the updates to the brand's range, starting from the first PHEV version of the Lamborghini Urus, passing through the heir to the Huracan. To these will also be added the first electric cars of the Bull brand, including the road version of the Lanzador concept car, presented in the summer of 2023 at the Monterey Car Week, which will arrive in 2028 and the first electric Super SUV, in fact the heir to the Lamborghini Urus, scheduled for 2029.
The possibilities of electrification
The challenge launched by Lamborghini with electrification will also lead the brand to explore the new perspectives that electric traction can offer to cars like those of the Toro. A concept explained in the words of Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer: “The electric motor opens up new horizons in terms of dynamics and driving experience. It is the dawn of a new era for super sports cars, in which we sustainably redefine the concept of sportiness, fun and driving dynamics. Our DNA will always be based on the concept of emotional performance”.
