On its fiftieth anniversary, the legendary Lamborghini Countach will receive a successor, which will be powered by an electrically assisted V12.
Lamborghini waves the Aventador as a special Ultimae, but the technical basis of that super sports car is recycled for a new model. Because Sant’Agata Bolognese has officially announced that the legendary Lamborghini Countach is making a comeback for its fiftieth birthday. And that would combine the foundations of the Aventador with the hybrid powertrain of the Lamborghini Sian, where the naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 is helped by an electrical module with super capacitors. Count on a system output of around 820 hp, so the new Lamborghini Countach sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 350 km/h.
One Lamborghini Countach is not the other, during its career the Italian super sports car not only became more and more powerful, but also got more and more spoilers. The lines of the new Countach would honor the wedge-shaped design of the original LP400, drawn by Marcello Gandini at the time. There is talk of a limited series, but a price tag remains guesswork.
