The new Koenigsegg Jesko was unveiled for the first time in a series production version, two years after the Geneva Motor Show in which it made its debut. The unveiling of this pre-series version coincides with the start of production of the 125 units of the Swedish hypercar destined for customers, which will be joined by their specimen in the spring of 2022. This is a clear homage to the 2004 CCR, as evidenced by the livery finished in Tang Orange Pearl color and with silver and carbon fiber accents.
The new Koenigsegg Jesko, renamed as the successor of the Agera, was offered in two different variants: the standard one, which maximizes performance on the track, and the Absolut one, designed to overcome the 480 km / h wall. To push the new hypercar of the Swedish car manufacturer there is a very powerful engine 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 internally developed, capable of unleashing a total power of 1,600 hp and delivering a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm. In combination, rear-wheel drive and a Light Speed Transmission system are offered, which allows extremely fast and efficient gear changes. The exterior design of the car conveys all the sportiness of this hypercar, and inside the passenger compartment stands a touch display for the infotainment system and a SmartCluster digital instrument cluster integrated into the steering wheel, programmed to correct steering lock while driving.
A very special Koenigsegg CCR up for auction
“We are very happy to show this pre-series Jesko in conjunction with the start of production of the 125 Jesko and Jesko Absolut intended for customers in the spring of 2022 – said Christian von Koenigsegg, CEO and founder of the Swedish company of the same name – As part of our gradual expansion, pre-production of our new hypercar will begin at a facility that spans 10,000 square meters“.
