Knockout City It has always allowed you to play for free during its first levels, but if you want to enjoy the full experience, you had to pay. Well that is about to change in the future as EA announced that the title will become a free-to-play experience with the launch of its sixth season this year.
Velan Studios, developers of this game, released the news through a post on their official blog that says the following:
“We are very excited to offer our game to millions of new players around the world, once it goes free-to-play.
We couldn’t have introduced Knockout City to the world without the incredible support of EA Originals, but now that we’re making this change, the next organic step for us is to take over publishing responsibilities and work more closely with our community.”
Its developers also addressed the issue of those who did pay for the game, and mentioned that before the start of the Season Six, They will be giving away a special package to these users that contains “exclusive legendary items, EXP boosts, and 2 thousand Holobux.”
On the other hand, Velan Studios will be posting Knockout City henceforth. The game was initially published under the imprint of EA Originalsbut now watch You will have absolute control of the IP. This is certainly a major change for the game, and we’ll see what kind of impact this decision has on its players.
Publisher’s note: Knockout City is not a bad game at all, but the community forgot about it too quickly. I remember that during its launch there were many people playing it and talking about it, but there came a point where almost no one remembered its existence.
