Kirkorov, who defeated Uspenskaya in court, said that one must answer for one’s words
People’s Artist of Russia Philipp Kirkorov spoke about his victory in court over singer Lyubov Uspenskaya. The corresponding post appeared on his Instagram page (a social network banned in Russia; belongs to the Meta company, which is recognized as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation).
“I may have any attitude, but I will have to answer for publicly insulting a People’s Artist of Russia,” he wrote. Kirkorov noted that he would donate the money he received to charity.
According to the artist, he filed a lawsuit to remind that “one must answer for one’s words and actions.” “Not everything should be judged by money, happiness is not in it. And my reputation is more valuable than money. Therefore, it was important for me to achieve justice! So that Lyubov Zalmanovna Uspenskaya and other individuals would think before slandering and publicly insulting a person,” the singer said.
Earlier, Lyubov Uspenskaya’s lawyer Elena Senina was pleased with the court’s decision on Philip Kirkorov’s lawsuit. Before that, the singer, from whom the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow collected almost 280 thousand rubles in favor of Kirkorov, offered to pay the artist in small change.
