Kiracademya leader in online training for social media managers, is pleased to announce a new partnership with the charity “Alice for Children” which has been operating in the slums of the suburbs of Nairobi, in Kenya. The objective is to distance young people from degradation and extreme poverty by helping them build a future, following them from kindergarten to the world of work: from slum to job.
Mostly trained as cooks and waiters to work in tourist villages, the young people of Korogocho they have recently started to delve into the IT world too.
Through this partnership, kiracademy offers not only its customers the opportunity to increase their skills in Social Media Management through the purchase of its training courses, but also the possibility of actively participate in supporting the Alice for Children causecontributing to classroom construction and the purchase of digital equipment at the Korogocho Secondary Education Instituteone of the largest slums in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
The neighborhood, full of slums (vast expanses of mud, waste and sheet metal), is home to as many as 500,000 people close to the largest waste dump in Africa, not allowing a sufficiently dignified quality of life.
For this reason, Education and training are of crucial importance in the lives of young people in Korogocho.
For every purchase of a complete training course (such as the COMPLETE COURSE FOR SMM), kiracademy will donate 10 euros to Alice for Children who will use them to build classrooms for secondary school students in Korogocho. The professional course in English to become a Social Media Manager will be created and offered free of charge by kiracademy.
