Killer of Chiara, “I take it on I can’t stand it”. Then the vowel: “I did it”
The tragic death of Chiara, the 15-year-old stabbed by a peer of her age, despite the confession of the killer who admitted her responsibilities, remains shrouded in a deep mystery. There are too many things still inexplicable about this dramatic story of the Bolognese. She accepted the appointment he had proposed to her via chat, – reads the Corriere della Sera – she went up with him to the hill behind his house, in Monteveglio (Bologna), and turned her back on him when he, to take the hidden knife in the backpack, he said to her: “Turn around, I have a present for you.” In the images taken by a surveillance camera we see them first walking next to each other and then we see her hugging him, he hesitating before reciprocating that squeeze. You can almost see the happiness of that little girl who thought she was finally noticed by the boy of her dreams. “I can’t stand her anymore, she takes me on” was what he said about her instead.
“The young man appears capable of understanding and willing”, writes the judge of the preliminary investigations, confirming the detention decided by the Prosecutor, “especially with respect to a crime whose gravity is immediately perceived”. And this also in the case – continues the Corriere – «of any psychological problems». Problems in fact, and prior to the facts, already emerged as in his three interviews with the psychologist who had taken care of him recently in the “outbursts of anger” his mother speaks of. After killing Chiara, the killer sent voice messages “with an unequivocal tenor” to a friend “to whom he told what he had done”. “I did it, I did it.” They are excited messages, sometimes unclear, which seem to be recorded while running or moving quickly.
