The General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education stressed the importance of concerted efforts of various community institutions as well as the family in building student awareness during the summer vacation, and opening students’ perceptions to the determinants of national identity by looking at the national heritage, history, archeology, and prominent tourist attractions in our country, which constitutes a rich system of national awareness. In front of the various student groups, especially the students of the foundational stages, whose national awareness should be formed at this early stage.
This came during a dialogue session organized by the General Secretariat of the Khalifa Educational Award entitled “Internal Tourism and Student Awareness”, in the presence of Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary-General of the Khalifa Educational Award, in which Ismail Abdullah Al Hammadi, Director of the Cultural Heritage Department at the Ministry of Culture and Youth, and Amna Muhammad Al Zaabi, Director of the Department of Culture, spoke The Experience of Acting Visitors at the Tourism Product Development Department at the Department of Culture and Tourism, and Dawood Muhammad Al-Malih, Curriculum Authoring Specialist at the Ministry of Education. The session was moderated by: Obaid Al Tunaiji, an arbitrator at the Khalifa Educational Award.
At the beginning of the session, Amal Al-Afifi stressed the importance of student awareness and the role of the family, school and various institutions of socialization in building a student awareness system that foresaw the future and enhances national identity through his full knowledge of the determinants of national identity, the importance of national heritage, as well as access to the history of the state and its leadership and identification of tourist and archaeological attractions. And all this within a comprehensive framework of a conscious system that shapes the student’s vision and instills in him pride and pride in the history and civilization of his country. At the beginning of the session, Obaid Al Tunaiji said: It is our duty, as educators, parents, and even community institutions, to provide young people, students and youth with a balance of national awareness that enables each of them to learn about the vocabulary of the national heritage and its role in consolidating the national identity and the system of values, and during the holiday the opportunity is prepared.
