His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, met today with Juan Carlos Salasar, Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
During the meeting, areas of joint cooperation were reviewed, the latest developments in the global aviation sector were discussed, and ways to enhance cooperation were discussed in a way that contributes to supporting sustainability within the aviation sector.
During this meeting, His Highness stressed the importance of investing in advanced technology and promoting innovation to build a sustainable future for the aviation industry, which contributes to enhancing safety, security, aviation efficiency and environmental protection.
The meeting was attended by: His Excellency Mohammed Ali Al-Sharafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and Saeed Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the Organization International Civil Aviation, and Maryam Al Balushi, chief negotiator for the climate change file for the aviation sector at the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
