Vocento, in collaboration with the global community of digital leaders CIONETwill award for the fourth consecutive year the best digital transformation projects that have been carried out in our country. Awards that have the support and commitment of MOEVE, KPMG and Software One.
An exceptional jury made up of academics and illustrious personalities from the technology sector has been in charge of selecting the finalists and winners of unique projects that have a differential impact. The event will be held on Tuesday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Vocento headquarters in Madrid and It can be followed live, via streaming.
As a prelude to the celebration of these recognitions, the Vocento headquarters received Jesús Oliva, Head of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence at Moeve; David Sanz, partner responsible for KPMG Lighthouse of KPMG in Spain; Jesús García Jiménez, General Director of CIONET Spain and Mario Molina, General Director of Software ONE Spain. Four prominent representatives of daily work in the midst of technological disruption who provided interesting opinions on the scope of Artificial Intelligence in their organizations, in a pleasant tour of the challenges and solutions of the ‘AI universe’.
In this context, Oliva highlighted the relevance (and responsibility) of facing the challenge of AI “from the technical, strategic and human spheres.” To this end, the specialist stressed the importance of “eliminating repetitive tasks to improve productivity, which entails training people (in our case, we have an internal digital academy), with special focus on the ethical and responsible use of AI.” , a step beyond even European regulations, with multidisciplinary working groups. Moeve thus meets the demands of its business units and collaborators, in line with its Green Digital strategic plan.
«The application of AI involves the training of people, with special focus on its ethical and responsible use»
A journey, from the projects to the implementation of various initiatives, in which Sanz stressed the importance of “leading internally and externally, to incorporate these technological solutions as keys in the business models, both for the market to be ‘customer zero’, within the organization itself. We must create ‘augmented employees’, manage that change, remove fears. A performance in which KPMG pays special attention to auditing and advisory, to promote a regulatory radar that ensures the correct application of this new technological era (“we must evaluate the impact on people and processes and on the organization itself …we are living in a truly transformative moment.”
“We must lead internally and externally to incorporate these technological solutions as keys to business models”
Molina, for his part, pointed out the importance of “bringing technology to constant innovation”, a challenge ahead, successfully moving beyond the concept of technology testing, to correctly identify its application in processes. Our mission is to do it, and promote it to our clients. Like the rest of his meeting companions, Molina stressed the importance of training “even more so when we enter some unexplorable terrain in all its dimensions, AI must be faced with the same spirit with which human beings have taken advantage of technology, using tools and means that, for decades, have transformed our way of working.
«AI must be approached with the same spirit with which humans have taken advantage of technology for decades»
This global challenge, which impacts each person in their daily lives as well as large multinational companies (and, without a doubt, governments), is a test for technology companies and IT areas, as García Jiménez pointed out: «We must try not to be left behind in this implementation, and get it right throughout the process. It is quite a responsibility, since the great expectation created around this technology has generated pressure on organizational leaders. Our first AI forum held last May already allowed us to perceive this pressure from corporate governance bodies in the IT areas to develop proofs of concept and scalable use cases. And, at all times, he was optimistic about the dilemma (raised during the meeting) of AI as a ‘job destroyer’: “There will be reconversion processes, but to improve collectively, with cases of notable increases in productivity and “rethinking professional roles to improve efficiency.” In any case, an unavoidable one is to reconvert your workforce, for the Corporate Social Responsibility of the 21st century.

The importance of ‘upskilling’ and ‘reskilling’, the challenge of facing sustainability in processes that require a lot of energy expenditure or the need for SMEs not to be left behind were other aspects discussed at the meeting organized by Vocento and CIONET . A test of knowledge transfer to society that will continue with the information about next Tuesday’s event in ‘ABC’ and the group’s regional newspapers, to convey the essence of the day, as García Jiménez concluded: «Our responsibility as the largest technological community in Europe and Latin America means sharing real cases to inspire organizations from all types of sectors. The awards abound in this objective of creating spaces for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, to advance in the fields of efficiency and the social impact of technology.
