Through the pages of the new issue of the magazine Jump SQ, it is revealed that the long-running manga series Blue Exorcist of Kazue Kato will go on hiatus for a full eight months, or until the next April 2022.
This break was necessary to allow the author to work on the manga adaptation of Eizen Karukaya Kaiitan (Strange Tales from the Handy Shop Karukaya), the horror novels by Fuyumi Ono, which will be published in the same magazine starting from September.
In a recent post released on Twitter, the Kato he said it would be nice to be able to run two serialized jobs at the same time, but that surely would be too stressful. For this reason, it was decided to give a little break to Blue Exorcist.
A two-month break was necessary for the author at the very beginning of 2021, not for health problems or anything else, but only to take a breather from a series that has now lasted 12 years.
In Italy Blue Exorcist is published by Sandwiches under the label Planet Manga. Here’s how the story is introduced to us:

Because being the son of Satan makes them the targets of a lot of attention… not all of them kind!
