The head coach of the Russian national football team, Valery Karpin, believes that the Russian footballers are not to blame for the weak game against the Slovak national team during the World Cup 2022 qualifying tournament.
According to Karpin, everything that did not work out during the match was his fault.
“We analyzed the game with the Slovaks, talked to the guys. Everything that did not work out is my fault, because I did not convey to them in such a way, did not explain it that way. There are no complaints about the guys, this does not mean that I am trying to remove responsibility from them, ”the coach said at a press conference on October 10.
On the eve of the match with Slovenia, Karpin noted that the players’ condition was good, there were no new injuries after the match with Slovakia. Everyone is preparing for the match, we are only concerned with recovery and theory. In his opinion, there is no favorite in the upcoming match. Karpin pointed out that the national team should go to the world championship in Qatar from the first place, the team has only such a task, writes “Sport-Express”.
Group H Slovenia-Russia meeting will take place in Maribor on 11 October. The Russians with 16 points take the second place in the standings, the Slovenes (10) are the third. On October 8, the players of the Russian national team defeated the Slovaks with a score of 1: 0 in Kazan.
