Karl-Heinz Rummenigge talks about Bavaria’s summer transfer plans: “That would be nonsense”

There is traditionally a lot of speculation at and about FC Bayern. About possible exits (Alaba, Boateng, Sané) and possible additions (Upamecano). Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has taken a position on this. Quite vague in the case of Upamecano and Boateng, more than clear in Leroy Sané.

Rather, the club wants to have talks with the central defender as soon as possible: “Jerome is playing a good role again. The coach is satisfied with him. You will therefore have to ask yourself this question in a conversation with him,” explains Rummenigge when asked about a contract extension with the 32nd member -Year-olds. The name Dayot Upamecano is repeatedly traded as a replacement for David Alaba. Logical, after all, the Frenchman is one of the best defenders in the league or even in Europe. At only 22 years of age, still capable of development and available with his exit clause in the contract. However, the FCB would have to transfer a whopping 42.5 million euros to RB Leipzig. This is where the aforementioned financial shackles come into play.
