Head of Chechnya Kadyrov thanked Turkish leader Erdogan for condemning attacks on Russians
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, commented on the words of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who condemned the attacks on students and cultural figures from Russia taking place in a number of countries. He wrote about this in his Telegram-channel.
“I am doubly pleased that I demanded an end to the lawlessness perpetrated against our compatriots,” Kadyrov wrote, adding that Erdogan made it clear to the authorities of various countries that such an attitude towards Russians is unacceptable.
The head of Chechnya added that any kind of violence against peaceful people should be nipped in the bud. Kadyrov thanked the Turkish leader for his adherence to principles in this matter and for supporting Russia.
Earlier, Erdogan, in a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, gave a critical assessment of the campaign unfolding in a number of Western countries against Russian cultural figures. “It is characteristic that Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave a critical assessment of the frantic campaign to discriminate against Russian culture and its figures, which is gaining momentum in a number of Western states,” he said.
