The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, entered the Russian Book of Records as the person against whom the largest number of sanctions were imposed in the world. The corresponding certificate was handed over to the head of the republic on October 5 by Stanislav Konenko, editor-in-chief of the Book of Records of Russia, at an event dedicated to the Day of the City of Grozny.
According to Konenko, on October 3, the editorial office and the editorial office of the World Records Club received applications for records, which they studied and made the appropriate conclusions.
“The record is the largest number of personal sanctions imposed on a person in the world. With a result of 15 sanctions, I declare Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov the record holder, ”said Konenko, quoted by “RIA News”.
Kadyrov broke another record. The head of Chechnya has become the record holder for the largest number of restrictive measures imposed on a person, his relatives and associates in the world. So, in total, 68 sanctions were imposed against Kadyrov and his relatives.
The head of Chechnya was also awarded the gold medal of the World Records Club.
Kadyrov himself explained that he was on the sanctions list because he “defends religion, customs, traditions and the security of the state.”
On September 15, the United States included in the sanctions list against Kadyrov and his relatives.
