Juventus, Allegri show in the 95th minute. Expelled, he undresses, shouts: “Where is Rocchi?”
In the 95th minute of the Italian Cup final between Juventus and Atalanta, a decision by referee Maresca angers Massimiliano Allegri who would like a free kick for his Juve. The match director does not have the same opinion and the Tuscan coach – taking off his jacket and throwing it to the ground – lashes out at the fourth official Mariani: face to face for a few seconds, which brings a red card from the Neapolitan referee.
At that point Allegri gets angry again and starts unbuttoning his shirt. As he leaves the pitch, Max turns towards the Olimpico authority stand and shouts “where is Rocchi? where is Rocchi?”. A few seconds pass and the final whistle blows from the referee: Juventus beats Atalanta (thanks to Vlahovic’s goal) and Max Allegri can celebrate his triumph, for him it is the fifth Italian Cup. He is the first coach in history to achieve this, surpassing Sven-Göran Eriksson and Roberto Mancini at four.
