He had allowed himself a couple of months off and then had managed to resume the Justice Word Tourstarting from Lucca last July 31; now for Justin Bieber has chosen to suspend the international tour again for health reasons. The American artist decided to delete the other 50 stages that should have brought it to Europe until the end of March 2023. The decision comes after the performance as part of the Rock and Rio festival, in its first post-pandemic edition.
Ramsay-Hunt syndrome
Already last June the singer had revealed that he had been affected by the Ramsay-Hunt syndrome, one neurological disease derived from the often severe consequences of infection with Herpes Zoster virus, the same virus that causes chickenpox
. Bieber had shown himself to fans on a video posted on YouTube explaining that the virus had attacked the ear nerve, facial nerves, causing facial paralysis.

The rare ailment
Ramsay Hunt syndrome a rare neurological disorder which occurs when the varicella-zoster virus infects a nerve in the head near the inner ear. This virus paralyzes the nerves in the face and blisters on the outer and inner ear, near the nose and mouth.
The causes
Reactivation of the herpes zoster virus underlying the onset of Ramsay Hunt syndrome. The virus responsible for chickenpox, in fact, can remain dormant in the nerves and reactivate years later. It is not known why the virus reactivates and produces Ramsay Hunt symptoms. The infection can be serious for people who have problems with immune system.
Symptoms
The most common symptoms of Ramsay Hunt syndrome are:
– paralysis of the facial muscles on the side affected by the transient or permanent infection; – rashes, rashes and blisters around the ear or inside the ear canal

The tour
