The TSJC estimates the player’s appeal
Acquitted. The Appeals Section of the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia has unanimously estimated the appeal of the Soccer player Dani Alveswhich was sentenced by the audience of Barcelona four and a half years in prison for a crime of sexual aggression to a young woman in a disco in Barcelona, the early hours of December 31, 2022.

The court thus dismisses the resources of the Prosecutor’s Office – which requested the partial nullity of the sentence and subsidiarily raised the penalty to nine years – and the private accusation – which asked to raise the penalty to twelve years – and acquit the accused, leaving without effect the precautionary measures imposed and declaring ex officio the procedural costs.
