Faced with the threat of drought in the municipality, the Municipal Board of Potable Water and Sewerage of Mazatlan (Jumapam) has 12 pipes ready to bring water to the communities that require it, said the general manager of the paramunicipal, Osbaldo Lopez Angulo.
He added that maintenance was given to wells in the towns of El Tecomate de Siqueros, Barrón and La Noria.
April is almost over and they still don’t distribute water, as happened in other years.

However, the risk in rural zone persists in 19 communities, where they traditionally suffer from lack of water at this time of year, the official added.
Rain
López Angulo trusts that before the dry season it will rain and the drought will not be so serious in the entity, but especially in the municipality of Mazatlán.
When the situation becomes critical, the jumapam works jointly with the National Water Comission (Conagua) and the State Commission of Potable Water and Sewage of Sinaloa (Ceapas), so that no family is left without water.
The manager took the opportunity to ask the population to take care of the vital liquid.
