Alanen had appealed against the district court’s verdict. However, in its recent decision, the Helsinki Court of Appeal decided to leave the case to itself.
The main hearing of the Court of Appeal had previously had to be canceled three times. A day before the main hearing, which was postponed to the beginning of December, Alanen announced that he was sick.
He did not submit a medical report and did not appear in court. It was decided to leave the matter as it is, and the judgment given by the district court in 2019 remained permanent.

The amount stems from the purchase price of the car in Spain. However, the district court considered the damage caused to the estate to be only 18,000 euros.
Alanen has to pay 18,000 euros in damages to the estate together with the man who participated in the theft of the Ferrari and who was sentenced in the courts for aggravated embezzlement and aggravated forgery. Otherwise, Alanen was left without being sentenced to punishment.
