Juan Fernando Quintero is still on a roll: see his new goal with River

River Plate and Boca Juniors added respective wins against Gimnasia (4-0) and Estudiantes (0-1) from La Plata in the run-up to the Superclásico of Argentine soccer that both will cheer up next Sunday at the Monumental stadium.

With three converted penalties, the ‘Millionaire’ prevailed with authority against Gimnasia to become one of the two leaders of Zone A along with Unión. One of them was converted by Colombian Juan Fernando Quintero.

Quintero’s figures after his return to River

It was Quintero’s fourth goal since he returned to River, the third in the League Cup (plus one in the Argentine Cup) and the first from 11 meters.

For its part, Boca prevailed with a goal from the Peruvian Luis Advíncula, after an authorization from the Colombian Sebastián Villa, to settle third in Zone B, two units behind his loser.

San Lorenzo got its first win on Saturday by beating Talleres in Córdoba 0-1 away from home, while this Monday Racing Club will visit Atlético Tucumán and Independiente will host Central Córdoba in Santiago del Estero.
