Pettersson, Association of Journalists or chairman of the association Hanne Aho will not comment further on the matter. Pettersson only wrote an update on Facebook about it.
“Today I have resigned from the duties of Journalist’s editor-in-chief. We accomplished a lot in five years. Readers have given the magazine top marks in the member survey. ‘The newspaper is in the best shape for a hundred years,’ said one councilor last week,” writes Pettersson.
“The delivery is extremely experienced and professional. We thank them unreservedly for their support during this difficult autumn. The magazine’s large freelance team, from editors to photographers, illustrators and graphic artists, is also incredibly skilled. You can leave the magazine in these hands with peace of mind. Neither I nor the Association of Journalists will comment on the matter further.”
Pettersson started as Journalist’s editor-in-chief in 2018.
Acting journalist serves as editor-in-chief Manu Marttinen.
