John Cena continues shaping his acting career towards the top in Hollywood. The former WWE wrestler turned actor participated in 2021’s Suicide Squad and starred in Peacemaker, a spin-off of the DC antihero, which is about to release its season finale. Now, a new project has already been confirmed on his agenda: Coyote vs. acme.
According to a recent Deadline report, the aforementioned production will be set in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes universe and will be directed by Dave Green, who will work on a script written by Samy Burch and inspired by the New Yorker article “Coyote vs. Acme” by Ian Frazier.
YOU CAN SEE: Peacemaker would be bisexual: James Gunn confirms him as an LGBT+ character
Also, it is known that the title will be produced by Chris DeFaria and James Gunn. The latter will work through his company Two monkeys, a goat and another, dead, monkey.
Cena’s experience in large franchises is concise, but with good reception among the public. In that sense, we have seen him act in Gunn’s Suicide Squad, Bumblebee (spin-off of the Transformers saga), Fast and Furious 9, and he will play Peacemaker again in the already confirmed second season of the successful homonymous series.
