Formula 1 got to know Jeddah and immediately imposed the first changes on it. If a lot was already known about the width of the roadway (but it was impossible to intervene in any way), theout of the pits, visibly too dangerous.
The cars returning to the track, in fact, hindered those arriving in the chicane, and the risk of accidents would have been very high if suitable measures had not been taken. Race director Michael Masi communicated the elongation of the white line out of the pits, in order to leave adequate space for the drivers arriving from the straight and thus increase safety on the track.

It is also interesting how point 19.1 of the race director’s notes specifies that pilots must not only remain to the left of the white line for its entire length (as always), but even immediately after, precisely to minimize the risk of accidents.
